I love the Hollywood/illuminati idea! It ties really well into the occult theme a lot of us have been suggesting. And it could be campy enough for Ryan's style to really shine.
I don't want anything apocalyptic/dystopian/post-apocalyptic at all. I feel like the more world-building a writer has to do, the less "horror" it is intrinsically.
