The album (sales wise) did underperform. Two huge singles and one semi-hit single only resulting 900k when the last effort sold a 100k less with a semi-hit single is a big underperformance. Yes, My December was coming of a huge era but AIEW was also suppose to be her big comeback. If All I Ever Wanted was the era that followed Breakaway, it would hit 2 million sales without a doubt.

And All I Ever Wanted was promoted heavily, all three singles were. RCA also needs to stop only releasing three singles per era.

Nope. But Already Gone & Suck were still big singles. Radio was fully behind Kelly that era.

I agree and disagree. It's basically how you look at it. One things for sure Stronger could've sold more. But Hook Up was definitely not a bigger hit then Mr.Know It All. MKIA had +120 AI and sold 1.8 million + was top 10 on Hot 100. Hook up had like 50m AI, sold 700k and peaked at #20.

IDNHU kinda killed the AIEW era in some parts of the world, as DS killed the Stronger era in some parts of the world.

With the former, it was the wrong single at the wrong time possibly (though the single was promoted a lot) , with DS, it was WDKY still having way too much power on radio by the time DS was released + very little promo + pretty underwhelming MV (though i love how Kelly looks)

Anyway, it's officially the third sales week! Looking at most Christmas albums, week three usually increases upon week 2. If she sold 40-45k last week she should do slightly better or about the same this week. We have Leno tonight to help.
