I believe Midnight Memories album is gonna be their best album. BSE and SOML are so good. Take Me Home failed to beat UAN to become their best album. MM album will do it
Torn was by far the best, but X Factor edits the audition/middle round footage so its not really fair to compare it to their (generally mediocre) live performances from the show.

Do you mean the judges home round? That's when they sang Torn. The auditions aren't edited?
Everything other than the live rounds gets touched up. Auditions less so than the later rounds.
The Judges Home performances are the most blatant since they actually record it in the studio then layer it over the video.
I don't see it sis.I know they're not live footage, but I don't think the auditions are vocally edited. They would be flawless if they were. In harry's audition his voice cracked and let's not with Louis' performance. All the boys auditions have their flaaws.

No they definitely do. It was big news when they first started doing it. Obviously they're not going to give them studio quality vocals for an audition, but they definitely edit them to an extent.
Just compare the auditions to liver performances. The number of bum notes explodes during the live rounds.
So either everyone becomes a shittier singer as the competition goes along or they edit the auditions.
I'm really not seeing what you're seeing. Their live show performances are still some of their best vocal performances to this day imo. So I don't really see the difference. If anything they sound worse on their auditions thn in live shows.

I think you're referring to that whole brief autotune controversy, but other than that it hasn't really been discussed in the media
