She tells Clay Moden of WYRK that her decision to form this star-studded band for the big awards show was based primarily on her aptitude to never do the same thing twice. Swift already debuted ‘Red’ at the 2013 CMT Music Awards with an energetic performance and a thigh-high slit, so she wanted to change things up.
“I really wanted to present ‘Red’ in a different way, ’cause the song is completely one thing if you hear it produced on the radio, and then it’s a completely different song if you hear it the way that we’re doing it,” Swift says during a CMA Week interview.
“I knew that in order to showcase a different, more emotional part of the song, I wanted to bring in artists who completely bring their own flare to everything … Vince Gill and Alison Krauss, they’re two of my biggest heroes,” the superstar gushes. “The music that they’ve made has influenced me so much, so to be sharing a stage with them is going to be — I’m sure — life-alteringly cool.”
“Now that I've written a lot of songs for the next album, I'm dying for people to hear it. It's so weird to be still promoting ‘Red’ and I'm so proud of ‘Red’ and I'm creating something that's so different from ‘Red’. It's so cool because I'm so appreciative of the success of Red but I know that if I want to have success with something else I can't make 'Red 2.0'.”
“I have to make something completely new and something that if you were to hear a song from it you'd go 'Oh that's not from Red, that's from the new one'. So that's what I'm doing.”
I kinda want to get Keds because Cady HeronTaylor wears Keds, but I wonder if they'll be super cheap when it's time for Black Friday or Christmas sales...
Seeing as how the Pinnacle award is decided by the board and not the voters and the board is giving her the award not because they love her or her music, the award is based on sales achievements, then yes the Country voters do agree with me (on how the Lord will lose everything).
I'm really loving her looks this past few weeks! Her hair omg is so perfect. I am so excited to see what she'll bust out tommrow on the red carpet? And will she perform in cowboy boots??! Just wishful thinking
