Am reading Smogon, there's been research into Pixilate (which I'd previously dismissed as useless due to Moonblast) and apparently it boosts the power of the normal moves that are turned Fairy. This presumably applies to all the abilities that turn normal type moves into x type, so for example Aurorus would get 1.3x power from Refrigerate-boosted normal moves, and Mega Pinsir would get 1.3x boosted normal moves from Aerilate.

It's pokemon genes/stats.

The same pokemon can be a weak bitch or strong depending on its IVs,Nature and how you ev train them.

If you want to win against REAL people NOT weak in game characters, you'll need a near perfect nature,IV, fully ev trained pokemon.
