Certainly hope that She'd get deeper in '70s/'80s Post-Punk & New Wave sounds. STF was like a happy baby of the Cure & OMD.

And I thought I was being delusional.
EDIT: I mean, not just the drums. But the prominent bass in SoG is totally different from the rest of Her tunes. JD/NO were known for their epic & high bass line, and the bass has been brought front and center, along with the drums. Am I being delusional or what?
Also if it's all based on U2/Radiohead, still it means She's using JD/NO sound a little there. Early-years U2 have a similar sound to JD, and they were supposed to work with Martin Hannett as well. Radiohead's main influence is NO. At worst, She was just trying to ape FTP, but failed and sounded as U2/R'head/NO/JD instead.
