But there's one reason I can't stand (for the most part) pop music fans. Here is Gaga releasing an amazing original song and ALL some of her fans are talking about is how the song will do on radio and how will it chart. Absolutely pathetic. Music should be about QUALITY, not about how high it goes on the charts.
That's why I prefer listening to alternative music (and communicating with Alternative music fans). Because when an amazing alternative artist releases a song you don't see some fans saying "Ehh is good but I don't think it will do good on radio so it shouldn't be a single". Is so stupid when people think that way, ugh.
Anyway VENUS is so GOOD!! I definitely think it should be the 2nd single, if not the 3rd, cause is great!

We are still talking (on a popmusic forum) about a popsong from a popalbum. If she released some indie song, i would 100% with you, but in this case I think chartperformance and stuff are important.
I personally don't care about chartsucces at all, since I just listen what I love whether it is #1 or #98, but yeah she is on one of the biggest poprecord labels out there, it is a bit simple to just say "release whatever you want, we don't care where it ends on the charts", Money also plays a big role in this whole thing and I think if you look at it in the perspective of the label, DWUW is much easier marketable, safer and the overwhelming warm response just gace them an extra reason to get in with Gaga and switch things up.
