I can slightly understand why..but some countries like the UK just boggle my mind . Their superiority complex to US citizens it's appalling that they genuinely believe it
This thread shows that the majority of people on here are still pretty young
You have Americans mindlessly defending everything and others mindlessly attacking everything
The world isn't black amd white but I guess you will learn that through life
Yet most of the other people bashing on America don't have a single clue about what goes on here other than what they heard on TV.
ONE THING I WILL NEVER TOLERATE is how people are painted this picture of the USA being a "mosnter" responsible for most of the problems of today's world... I mean, the US has ****ed it up the same way dozens of oter countries have. I never hear people TODAY criticize Germany for the Nazis, or Japan for the Rape or most of European powers for their colonialism... yet the USA gets all their **** shove down its throat... No one ever stops to think (and congratulate) America for the great inventions, their amazing things. I'm not even American, I'm from a little Southamerican country (Uruguay) and I recognize that as much bad things the USA has done, they've done incredible stuff as well that deserves acclaim and doesn't receive it.
As someone said earlier, most of you are here thanks to American inventions, and before someone comes at me for Britain inventing WWW, let's go back to the root of it all and thank Americans for electricity as we know it today. And remember most of us stan for AMERICAN singers... I wish people would take the time to see both sides and not stay comfortable criticizing a country over cliché, overmentioned flaws... All countries have flaws and no matter how ****ed up this ****** world is, it's not the US sole fault. WARS are played by AT LEAST TWO PARTS. And last time I checked, rational-human-beings-run goverments do not decalre war on other country just because its economic sovereignity is being challenged, that's been stupid. Who's more greedy the one intervening for money or the one declaring war just for the sake of keeping it?
Finally, a non American that can admit that we are somewhat done wrong
Honestly, I came into this thread with some patriotic-humor, but the things some of you have to say about America... Scratch that, American people is disgusting. We are not monsters. we are not terrorists.
You all preach acceptance but the prejudice most of you have shown about American people shows that the lot of you are just as much of "monsters" as you claim us to be. So I'm done posting in this thread because many of you are blatantly disrespectful.
America is flawless. I've lived there basically all my life, and it's home to me. It's very diverse with many cultures, something you don't get in countless other countries. I've been in many places around the world, and they're cute, but US is still #1. There's just no place like home.

Exactly! They think they're so much better, when they're being just as nasty (if not worst)
Why are the Europeans in here dragging America when nearly their entire continent is responsible for the destruction and leeching of another continent that till this day cannot even get back on its own feet.

Sis ignore the haters. We remiain flawless and they remain pressed
Just like most Americans don't know anything about Iraq, Israel, Syria, Afganistan and tons of other countries except what FOX News feeds you.
That's somewhat true, but why are you bringing those places up though?
It's hypocritical on both sides, but the majority of people in here talking about how they THINK the US and it's people are are just as ignorant, yet they pretend they know everything.

Canadians don't hate Americans. We all mostly love our American neighbours. However, Canada IS in my opinion the better country to live in. But that of course is MY personal opinion.
I mean, I'm applying for college at the states (not here where I live, even though there's free college here) and it's not because I've got tons of money I can effortlessly spend on my education (btw, I'm looking for a scholarship) but as much as you drag Americans as being ignorant, that is just another media-consttructed picture... The USA is home to some of the oldest, most respected and best universities in the world. Knowledge and education DO matter to Americans... I know the USA owns some of the highest tertiary education quality standards in the world. Before even bringin the ignorance thing up, look up at the Nobel Prizes won by Americans, at the flawless, enriching input they've given to the world in terms of technology, literature, other arts, MUSIC --> I mean, most of today's mainstream artist thrive to make it in America for a reason. People are not ignorant, they're smarter than you might think. Just take a look at their colleges and their high college graduation index tea spilled sorry
I read the first few pages, so maybe I shouldn't jump to any conclusions. But judging from that, it seems like some users find it very important that US is the best country in the world.
That's somewhat true, but why are you bringing those places up though? .
Why do you think I'm bringing those countries up
Americans are so grossly misinformed about people of Arab descent calling them terrorists and racially abusing them. Muslims probably have a harder time living in America than any other race or religion. I mean,

Just stop. I have NEVER been racist towards any race, so don't even play that card with me. You can't generalize the whole country for a few narrow minded people.
This is the problem in this thread. People thinking they know EVERYTHING about US citizens when they're just as naive.

When you do surveys like this in America, you have to consider the region where it is being done and ask a diverse group of people. This one seems like it was done in a southern city and mostly everyone was white. Try again.

Do you know how easy it is to bias these? They could have interviewed so many people, all with positive things to say, only to strip it down to the few who were intolerant in order to "prove" their message. You just can't fully trust any media.
I mean 90% of the people they were talking to in that video were a much older demographic, stereotypically known for being intolerant because of the way and times in which they were raised. But sure, that's fully representative of this country...

Sooooo a video full of cherry picked street interviews shot by and for some cheesy Australian comedy sketch with a bunch of backwood hillbilly dim wits somewhere outside of a WalMart in Bible belt deep south (Wherethe****, Mississippi?) during a time period when American citizens were being force fed daily Skittles colored terror alerts from the Bush administration via the news media and 9/11 anti-Islamic scare tactics were another constantly used card of that administration to maintain public support of the war...yeah. Not try hard at all.
