Of course campy is a pretty generic adjective, but gurl, this is an amazing pop song. Just because BR or PK were hits doesn't mean Venus is worse. The direction of the lyrics is pretty obvious I think, and yes, very very campy. it's campier than both BR and PK. And not you saying it's just a weird song. And I don't get what you find weird bout this song. Futuristic and campy? perhaps. If that's what you understand by weird then yes, it's a weird song.
But obviously to each their own. I think it's the ultimate pop anthem of the year so yeah. There's no song in the entire world that pleases everyone.
