My review!

Almost a week has passed by since the release of PRISM so I decided to share my thoughts on all the 16 tracks.
ROAR - It was very exciting to wait for the lead single of PRISM back in August. Especially with all the teasers and the truck going around. Roar definitely outdid all of my expectations. I still love it like I did the first time i heard it.
10/10
Legendary Lovers - One of the most unique sounding songs on the album. I absolutely love the lyrics! This was my most anticipated track prior to the release (based on the lyrics alone). Even though I wasn’t sure about some parts in the verses and the pre-chorus they have all grown on me.
8.5/10
Birthday - Definitely the closest song to the Teenage Dream Era but I love it so much it’s like a LFN/TD mix. Very light and I can’t get it out of my head. I start singing it on random places like classes, dance rehearsals.
9/10
Walking On Air - I voted for this in the Pepsi campaign when we could choose the promo singles. I really love the 90’s flavor of the song. Refreshing. She handles the live performances so well too! I was genuinely surprised when I first watched her ITunes Festival set. Very dance-y I enjoy it a lot
9/10
Unconditionally - The woodblock percussion is used perfectly. The drums are amazing. I’m glad she took the faster ballad route. It really took me by storm. Very powerful. Her voice is fantastic especially during the verses. The lyrics are universal and easily relatable ( I connect to it in a lot of ways as well. The song is just BIG. Definitely among my favorite tracks from her career/PRISM.
10/10
Dark Horse feat. Juicy J - I remember being obsessed with this in the first two weeks then it started to get older a bit then it came back on heavy rotation again and dropped once again. I love the darker remix and the instrumental. I also like Juicy J’s verse. I’m happy he is on the track.
8/10
This Is How We Do - Might be the “real” Last Friday Night of the album. First I really wasn’t sold on this. The I listened to it a few more times and it has grown on me a lot. I love the Mariah reference too and the spoken part…Wait. no no no bring the beat back
7.5/10
International Smile - Similarly to This Is How We Do I wasn’t sure how i felt about the song but it clicked with me on a faster and bigger pace. Now it’s one of my favorite uptempos from the album. It always puts me in a good mood and that Daft Punk-ish part is LIFE.
8.5/10
Ghost - At the moment it’s absolutely my favorite track off PRISM. It clicked with me right on the first listen and it’s also the song I could connect the most. It has grown kinda close to me. Much like The One That Got Away from Teenage Dream. I can’t wait for the liver performances and I’m hoping for a single release in the future. My favorite part of the song is So rest in peace, I see you on the other side.
10/10
Love Me - This one also took some time to grow on me. Especially the verses. The song just didn’t want to come together then I took a nap and I had this playing in the background (I always listen to some music while taking a nap) and it suddenly just worked. The bridge is definitely the highlight of the song.
7.5/10
This Moment - The opposite of what happened with Love Me. This time I preferred the verses to the chorus. It’s still growing one me bit by bit.
6.5/10
Double Rainbow - Here comes my favorite vocal performance on the album. She sounds so fantastic. It might sound stupid but I always feel some kind of relaxed wisdom in here voice whenever I listen to the track. I’m very satisfied with the production. The chorus is otherworldly. I think this hit me so hard because I really pushed this back to background when we got hints about the album. I just didn’t expecting anything outstanding. I’m so glad I was wrong.
10/10
By The Grace of God - After the live performances I felt the studio version didn’t live up to them but it became better and better with each listen. The lyrics are touching!
8.5/10
Spiritual - Very different from the rest of the album. Like many other songs on the album this wasn’t a first listen love either. Now I appreciate it much more. It was just more difficult to get into it. Actually I’m sad that this isn’t on the Standard version of PRISM. It could easily have replaced This Moment.
8.5/10
It Takes Two - Welp. This is just real. This is not the typical Katy Perry track I imagine so it was good to hear something else . I enjoy listening to this A LOT. I listen to it a lot as well.
8.5/10
Choose Your Battles - This took the longest time to grow (to be honest it’s still growing) on me. Who Am I Living For? was the first thought to come to my mind when I heard this for the first time.
7/10
Overall, I’m totally satisfied with PRISM. I’m happy we got this album and that the quality barely fell. My final score is
85/100 for PRISM. I love it!
