You can't compare Venus with Bad Romance because in the time of BR, people ate everything about Gaga, but now it's totally different, do you remember Judas? Marry The Night? Great Songs but not for the GP.

Look, y'all, "Venus" does sound incredible, and it could very well end up being one of her best songs. But the snippet doesn't even remotely sound radio friendly, and it would have likely flopped all over the place. Whereas DWUW has the potential to be the biggest radio hit of her career thus far, and one of her biggest hits, in general. As of now, it seems like we dodged a massive bullet that could have potentially stopped the ARTPOP era in its tracks.

I think this is gonna be good. DWUW will slay and get the public seeing that Gaga can do "normal," and then Venus will come later to slay ever harder them + remind them why they loved Gaga in the first place



I'm just so happy with this era so far, I literally haven't disliked a single thing (musically). I remember being so close to jumping ship with BTW, since the song itself underwhelmed me and I hATED Judas. TEOGod was my salvation. Luckily I don't need anything like that this time, because I at least like every song.

First, BR was nowhere near as weird as the Venus snippet imo, I don't actually mind Venus.

Secondly, I like it because it's good, not because it charted. Using that logic we'd all be praising BTW the song to high heavens.

Thirdly, it didn't cater to the straights, if I'm honest it started turning them away, which Telephone somewhat reversed but Alejandro exaggerated.

I'm back and one of the only 100's who actually heard the album and Venus. I don't know what happened here in the past 17 hours lol so sorry.

Artpop has the potential to be a bigger fan fave album than FM, there I said it I'm very sure that most fans will really love it. But we shouldn't compare and rank, just like Gaga said. Enjoy FM for what it was and enjoy ARTPOP for what it is.


A few things I remembered / have to correct:

- So I know that I heard the "hee hee"'s after the first chorus. I paid attention to it. But only for two times or so. Now at least 5 other LMs that were there are telling me they didn't hear them and a few fans sang them. :-/ I'm sorry but I guess that means they are cut. I don't know why! Just expect to be dissapointed about that one.

- There is a line in Fashion! something like: "Trust your gay friend"....something like that! I forgot to say that Fashion! doesn't sound like will.I.am at all. I bet no one would have guessed he produced it. So don't worry.

- I'm pretty sure she sang rich or bitch once during MJHs bridge.

- After Gaga anounced the album and Aura started playing she went off the stage. We were a bit surprised and thought oh she won't join us? Then suddenly out of nowhere she appeared at the podest where the fans later asked questions. In the middle of the crowd and was filming us all. We also jumped at the "enigma pop stars is fun" just like Swinefest omg. And then she played Venus and everyone was going crazy and she recorded it all. I really hope she shows that somehow to us.

- Venus teaser is really just a teaser, yes it is the begining of the song as I said! I dont know if people like it or hate it so far lol but the chorus is brilliant from what I remember so just wait for the full song.

- Just like G.U.Y. snippet doesn't do the song justice. It's better than you can imagine lol.

- Everytime during the snippet when you hear VENUS she did the V sign with her arms. Just the oppositve from the artpop move (as you saw on the muppets promo pic). So just you know how we danced

- After Venus she danced through the crowd and was back on the main stage later. The Haus joined her and they partied with us.

- Tara was stanning HARD for DWUW, Fashion! and Donatella.

- Gaga was drinking Red Bull all night but spilled it out on purpose several times, also over the crowd. LOL, she also talked to the fans in the first row a few t imes.

- Oh when she was on the podest during Venus fans were giving her things like a hat, necklaces etc and she put them on and threw them back again. It was amazing lol.

- Gaga and Tara cried so much during Dope!

- I didn't understand the lyrics from Dope but except for maybe a line or two all lyrics are different. No more "I'd rather be poor and happy.." Which annoys me. But I have to listen again to hear the new lyrics.

see ShineOverShadows post above your's. It's 2013 not 2009, the GP isn't as crazy and stanning for Gaga like they were then. Bad Romance was completely different than anything else around when it came out. Judas was a BR rehash and it bombed, and Venus seems like Judas and Applause mixed together IMO. I love the both those songs and the Venus preview, but I really don't see it even remotely smashing
