You're judging an entire song by the first verse. You don't speak for the entire GP and I would say she more or less doesn't give a **** rather than is out of touch.

That is the whole point of a snippet...to showcase a song and potentially hook people with the promise of a smash. If the first verse is so cringe worthy, why would people stay tuned for the rest of the song?
And I dont buy the whole "she doesnt care" stuff. She clearly does to an extent. Nonetheless, it was a smart move to push the other song, which is much more radio friendly.

Interscope definitely cancelled Venus. Unlike the BTW era, they seem to be yanking the reigns away from her thistime.

Venus is going to be a total bop but not just any great song can perform well as a single. So glad Interscope is exercising ha control over Gaga, her career.
