Your lack of common sense. Gaga's second single is comming and less than a 1 week and her new song is #1 on iTunes, it would be a huge risk to make both songs compete. Katy's situation is different because her 2nd single is comming but her promo singles are nowhere to be found in the Top 10.

I think it's a smart move - "Venus" will probably be hot, but if a song is already successful then go with it.
