You guys don't understand.. Don't preach about something you don't understand. It's not about having a scarf on! Just like everything with rules and regulations in the world, Islam has its sets of do's and dont's.. She went there taking pictures like she was shooting for Vogue magazine (on the ground of the mosque itself).. With all due respect (as an example), If it's ok with Christians for their religion to be exploited this way then it's NOT OK for Muslims for their religion to be messed with and exploited in such a manner. We don't let doors open and we don't make exceptions either because a small thing could eventually turn into a bigger thing.. Today it could start with Rihanna and tomorrow we might see Paris Hilton posing in front of it with a bikini.. So we avoid it all from the beginning so that it doesn't turn into mockery in the future. You guys should know Muslims and Islam better... You respect, and gain respect in return. Compare it to a set of personal beliefs or rules to a certain place (don't steal when you buy, don't pollute the river, don't throw trash around in the train etc).. If someone wrongs you, you get offended... It's the same situation here. Just respect and obey the damn rules (whether you agree or disagree)... and If you're opinionated and think the rules are unfair the guess what? THIS PLACE IS NOT FOR YOU! Don't visit! It's not so hard to do so!

Ultimately it comes down to what people of that particular culture/religion deem inappropriate or offensive. It isn't really for anyone here to say that it's stupid or unoffensive or whatever because you feel that way in the context of your own upbringing and your own values and beliefs.

Nobody forced Rihanna to visit the mosque.The moment she decided to visit that mosque she was bound to respect the rules and regulations and clearly she didn't hence the complaints against her.
