Exactly. They were still nice with her about this tbqh, it was disrespectful. Hope she wasn't behind all that tho.

The cultural disrespect she exhinits at times is cringeworthy. What I think is really offensive are the captions for the pics. She thinks wearing that attire is some sort of fashion statement and was really offensive towards the women who live in that country that don't have the rights most of us are use to having. She should defintely try to learn more about the cultures when she visits these countries instead of just showing up and showing out. Cultural ignorance is not cute.

Those are not rights, those are called traditions.

Just like everything with rules and regulations in the world, Islam has its sets of do's and dont's.. She went there taking pictures like she was shooting for Vogue magazine (on the ground of the mosque itself).. With all due respect (as an example), If it's ok with Christians for their religion to be exploited this way then it's NOT OK for Muslims for their religion to be messed with and exploited in such a manner. We don't let doors open and we don't make exceptions either because a small thing could eventually turn into a bigger thing.. Today it could start with Rihanna and tomorrow we might see Paris Hilton posing in front of it with a bikini.. So we avoid it all from the beginning so that it doesn't turn into mockery in the future. You guys should know Muslims and Islam better... You respect, and gain respect in return. Compare it to a set of personal beliefs or rules to a certain place (don't steal when you buy, don't pollute the river, don't throw trash around in the train etc).. If someone wrongs you, you get offended... It's the same situation here. Just respect and obey the damn rules (whether you agree or disagree)... and If you're opinionated and think the rules are unfair the guess what? THIS PLACE IS NOT FOR YOU! Don't visit! It's not so hard to do so!

I'm not even a Muslim but soo interested in the religion. I'm thinking of converting to it, too and getting ready for that.

Its probably best she stays out of these types of countries. Lord forbid, but she may have to learn the hard way. I'm just saying, these countries don't play when you disrespect their religion.

Why not, if it was a big attractiony-type church with lots of like artwork and crap? One shouldn't take pics of people sitting around having a church service or anything, but if there wasn't a program of some kind going on, who would give a **** about pics being taken in a Church? God has more important things to worry about.
Religious freedom only goes so far. We wouldn't just sit around and tolerate child labor just because some religion featured that as a tenet, and we shouldn't be tolerating the persecution of women by Islam. I saw a few random pics of her posing and if that religion has a problem with those pics, then it is that religion's problem, not Rihanna's.
Just because something is a rule or law doesn't make that rule or law RIGHT.

So as a British or a Muslim man, I can go to USA and break the rules because I don't think they are right?!!!
Great logic

This is an absolutely ridiculous post. Your logic is "If Country X has this rule, Then me from Country Y shouldn't have to follow it if I don't agree with it".
The issues you are raising here are not what's upsetting those offended by the photos. It isn't about her being a woman, if she was a man, she'd be held accountable for taking photos and acting in a way that is disrespectful. You're simply trying to detract from the main issue by bringing up a completely separate issue, red herring much?
