While I totally understand your viewpoint, it's hard to judge it but there's probably many folks who didn't buy applause but are willing to buy ARTPOP but want to wait to se: e what they're buying first. Since she lost so many folks attention from Born This Way and Applause didn't bolster as much confidence as one might hope for, there are plenty potential sales that could be gained if the album is as good as it seems to be


But for the sake of being pessimistic, I still believe she'll sell over 300K.

I agree with Misanthrope. I don't think her numbers will be bad, but I don't think she'll hit 500K, and I don't want you guys to set your expectations high because then there will be annoying meltdowns if/when she doesn't.

I think 200-300K is a good estimation. And I'm not being pessimistic, but realistic.

I'm actually more worried about her UK opening week after Applause barely outsold Marry The Night there. She better have some massive promo planned. I think 400K may be on lock in the US, especially with the limited edition boosting pre-orders.

Gaga is doing at least 400k in the U.S. first week and I don't think 450k-550k is impossible either. And you can bookmark me. Beyonce's last album did over 300k with no hits, minimal promo, leaks three weeks early, etc. Applause is platinum, the 2nd single is coming, and Gaga is just as big or bigger than Bey in the U.S.

No offense but I think 200-300K is way too low considering this is a 4th Quarter release. I know she's declined but she's not an Indie artist.
