She does tho, It's currently number 1 on Amazon + she sold out for a short period of time
It might have not went number 1 in US but neither did Katy.
The first pre order sales that came out said that Gaga sold 48k and prism did 7k
I'm raising my opening prediction back up to 500-600K. Cover reception way more positive than I anticipated. Second single hype and tracklist reveal helping things out. Trajectory has improved.
It probably won't. Katy will be an album seller this time around because this is the first album shes releasing where from the get go shes somebody. Her success last era took everyone by surprise, shes bonafied this time around. Wheres ARTPOP couldn't even hit #1 on itunes pre-sale. Not hating to any degree, I just think the realistic outlook on this is that Katy is obviously going to sell better this time. Gaga will probably do 200-300k. Anything below 200 and
Did Prism?!
ARTPOP was slaying Prism before Kety released 2 promo singles, and just the cover release and Machete Kills Aura lyric video made her jump about a hundred places up. Currently she's #29 on the worldwide itunes album chart and went number one there for 6 days, prism never hit #1.

She doesn't. Applause sales were fine, but not spectacular. Even if Prism didn't go #1 either its hovered in the Top 20 even now, whereas ARTPOP fell past 100. I think realistically it seems out to sell 200-300 in its first week. 500 is definitely a stretch, thats like best case scenario but its not realistic. Besides, I thought we don't even know what it officially sold pre-sale. Isn't that just estimation or assumption?

Ultimately the US matters most and shes not going to sell 500k here.
We know who's producing the video, and it's another professional photographer.
Applause video in space. cant wait.

The artwork is still being designed. It would've been the first single if "Applause" didn't exist.
Another Paparazzi trilogy type of thing? sounds great.
