Back in the day rock bands were thrashed left and right.
I remember I read in Wikipedia some Van Halen I reviews, and there's this one where the guy claimed that they'll fad in a month. In the end, the album scored a diamond cert

I don't get how The Woman in Me is a 49 when it's quality is amazing, and is one of the best country classics out there. Not to mention it won the Grammy Country Album of the Year and CMA for Album of the Year.. which is usually extremely reputable with giving away album of the year. I mean.. they wouldn't give it to a "bad" album.
