Why aren't they releasing the album on a Monday to get a full week of sales?! Tuesday releases are odd...
It really is weird but all albums are released on tuesdays, except ARTPOP. It's the only one being released on a monday. I guess the usual release day is tuesday but GaGa's record label or manager pulled some strings to get it released on a monday.

It's definitely not only Gaga. For example, both parts of Justin's 20/20 Experience have been released on Monday's as well. Same with Taylor Swift's Red last year. I don't know why every artist doesn't do it now considering sales being low. Everyone could use that extra day. maybe it just comes down to tradition but who knows.
