I agree with you on the artistic intergrity part but did you even read the interview? They managed to sound like 2 ****ing hypocrites in just a few sentences. It's just too ridiculous. This has nothing to do with Gaga, I actually don't give a **** who likes her or not.

They can sell out if they want but the fact that they still act like still being a high status than some "cheap commercialized" acts makes them total assholes.

Yes, they made the right financial decision, but by their own logic, they compromised their artistic integrity by commercializing their own creative expression. Therefore, they sold-out.

we're not eager to hate on anyone, we could give 2 s***s who does and doesn't like her. the problem, at least for me anyway, is them bashing her after agreeing to give her the track. if they had such a problem with it and wanted to keep whatever """artistic integrity""" they had, they could've kept the track to themselves and kept their mouths shut. she could've easily gotten another (and probably better) producer to do the song for her, and the Irrelevant Mushrooms would've stayed playing shows in their uncle's basement. they saw the money and they took the opportunity, so they should be grateful that an artist of her caliber wanted to put them on a platform and give them the credit for the song. "don't bite the hand that feeds" is the phrase, I believe.

Let me explain myself. Yes an artist can claim to have artistic integrity. I don't mean that the concept is invalid. It TO ME does not exist. Like Jameson said people deserve the right to make a living. Therefore why bring up artistic integrity when in reality its not got much to do about integrity at all just making a living. You have a brand and you usually tend to stick with it. The business point of view would be to sell. Again it has not much to do with integrity here. Especially at their point of view.

I think that it does exist in music, it's just that these guys don't have it. Take Die Antwoord for example (ugh). They had the opportunity to make heaps of money by opening the BTW Ball in South Africa, but they ultimately turned Gaga down because they wanted to keep their music as a "secret underground mind****" or something. That's keeping artistic integrity and not letting anything compromise your "art".

and now it's changed to

All the other tracks still have the number in front of it and the number after the word Track, only the first one has changed... Aura must be the album opener then?!??!! We already thought that because that's the only song during Swinefest that ended with ARTPOP and it opened just like Applause closed Swinefest and will close the album
