NBC released new photos on Monday of country singer Carrie Underwood on the set of "The Sound of Music."

Underwood will star in a live production of the play and classic movie with the broadcast scheduled for Dec. 5.

Underwood will star as Maria Von Trapp and Stephen Moyer will portray World War I hero Capt. Georg Von Trapp.

In addition to Underwood, the program will feature Tony Award winners and stage veterans Audra McDonald, Laura Benanti and Christian Borle.

The broadcast is scheduled to last for three hours.

Rion was good and deserved to go on, but she wasn't as fabulous as everyone seems to say.

I honestly thought it was a lackluster vocal performance.
There was tons of other talented people who performed better vocally and got the boot.

It was definitely lackluster. She was good enough to move on, but not good enough to get as far as she is right now
