Same! I might be defending her work with Luke and Max but of the songs I can wait till the album is released.

I'm here for WOA, Love Me, This Is How We Do and the bonus tracks the most cuz that's where I'll hear Katy in all her glory.

Well, I know some of the things that Katy's said about Taylor's songwriting over the years and it sounds like she does know and appreciate the craft. Whereas some other pop girls have some co-write credits and yet don't discuss songwriting in any way. So I can give Katy her due. And she did write 'Thinking of You' on her own, and that's one of the songs from her I like.

I think Katy contributes to her music and isn't the kind of co-writer who just changes two words to get credit. She wrote some songs solo on her earlier albums; I think she's interested in song writing. However, I don't know if she can really write the kind of pop smashes she's been putting out on her own, whereas we know MM/Dr. Luke can. MM has been writing #1 songs for 15 years.

We won't certainly know until she takes the risk again, but I think working with Dr. Luke/Max Martin and all of these producers is helping her to understand and learn how to create songs that will appeal to the masses, and that's not a bad thing, we all know she's capable of writing an AMAZING song all by herself, and Thinking of You is the proof.

At this point of her career I think it's very important she keeps doing her thing. and learn some more until she FEELS like doing it all by herself.

your AV!!! I stan for princesa latina but yeah I think she's capable of writing a beautiful song by herslef. She's stated plenty of times that she writes IDEAS, she might not come up with the entire song but she does come up with the concept and that's admirable no? weeps:

Exactly. Though ppl might hear or think they hear the same ol same ol it's not the same for those who truly love the artist. Most people don't' get that

but yeah fresh blood truly brings out your true artistry and thought the Luke songs might become singles at least most who aren't too fond of that got the hidden jems to jam out to right?

I love all of the TD singles but Pearl, Not Like The Movies, Peacock and Dressin' Up are some of my favorite KP songs.

It is, she is very talented and that's why she's my main fave, the thing I was trying to say is that despite her not writing/producing all her songs by herself right now doesn't mean she isn't talented, because she is. Like I said, at this point of her career is very smart of her to work with amazing producers cuz maybe in the future she will be capable of writing songs all by herself that will for sure click with the GP unlike TOY (compared to her TD songs)

I understand her having her fav producer but when your producer keep's giving you basic bop's that all sound like they come from one album there is a problem. I really want her to move away from Luke and try change her singing tone a bit more. At least she did dip into some trap will give her that.
