Tbh 400 Lux was too early on in the tracklisting - should've been closer to the end. Need to put more high energy tracks like Glory & Gore towards the beginning to prevent people saying the album is "boring" without listening all the way thru.

This is arguably the best album of the year for me so far!


Everything resonates so well for me, and the album does a fantastic job at capturing what being a normal teenager is really like. I LOVE pop music but most of the material isn't relatable at all on a personal level. The lyrics are beautiful and outstanding, the production is great, and her voice is just perfect.

Pure Heroine is 10/10. Lorde is an extremely talented artist that won't be a fading fad anytime soon.

400 Lux is just perfection

I had a listen and I would rate the album 7/10 because two or three tracks kind of blend into each other and don't stand out for me enough, plus also I wish there were a few more ambient tracks. The whole thing was a little depressing.

However something I am absolutely ENAMORED by is her songwriting ability. Like many have said her lyrics are so authentic for representing a normal teenager and their (sometimes darker) thoughts. None of that lovey dovey, "I got a crush on you" commercialized BS. That's what I love about Lorde.

Ribs, Glory & Gore & A World Alone are my current favourite album tracks.
