"After such a tragic event I was feeling a lot of emotion and sadness when I said I was forced to sing some of the lyrics to 'Die Young.' Forced is not the right word," Ke$ha wrote on her website. "I did have some concerns about the phrase 'die young' in the chorus when we were writing the lyrics especially because so many of my fans are young and that's one reason why I wrote so many versions of this song."

Doesn't seem too concerned

Thanks. I knew that already though. If this is all we have and we don't even know if she supports this or not, then I still don't know how to feel about it.
But I signed now anyway, so I'll sit back and watch.

And I'm sorry but the "rock" songs on Warrior are the worst songs in Ke$ha's discography. Warrior as a whole is completely subpar to her previous efforts. And you guys want RCA to drop K$ but what guarantees that another label will pick her up after Warrior's performance?
|
I mentioned early, that yes it was in MCBL, but also her book, and she often performs Machine Gun Love to promote the issue. It's subjective that you don't like the rock songs, ofcourse a person on ATRL, a pop forum, who (I think?) isn't even a Ke$ha stan would dislike them .

And being dropped from RCA isn't going to guarantee a better situation. So I wish y'all would stop saying that as well.

You can't expect her to have had that much foresight at 18 to know this is not how things would work out, being new to the music industry and all.
|
The problem with Ke$ha is that she has yet to prove herself. Others like Katy, Rihanna, and Gaga, who were once her peers have now left her in the dust. She hasn't had that one iconic era where her label could afford a possible loss.

Do you not think after saying something like "I was forced into singing that", that she wouldn't take back her words? It's like you forgot she's still signed onto labels like Kemosabe and RCA which are known for being controlling

I BOUGHT Animal/Cannibal + even Warrior. Her first 2 albums are flawless. I was really rooting for ha. I was so disappointed with Warrior seems like such a regression to her demo days.

none of you know anything, so to act like you're insider is just pointless....
she has CLEARLY said the songs she wanted didn't make the album, and she can't even pick her own singles that she wants.

We also don't know if she even knows about this, and in case she does we don't know if she even supports it.
Or do you?

!!!
Rihanna who started off her career with no major hits [unlike Tik Tok] and decent but low album sales managed to get iconic eras later on with GGGB, LOUD, etc. Ke$ha hasn't shown any growth not in her music or even her image. She never had that huge era. Her contemporaries completely left her in the dust. There was too much competition when she came out and she ended up losing to all of them. I'm sure her image is at least in her control. It seems like during the Warrior era she was trying to copy the other girls and trying to become "sexy" but it came off really try hard.

You're acting like not being able to pick your singles is a problem faced exclusively by K$.
She's only on her second album. Why should she be able? It's hardly a big deal

the point is, she's the artist, not dr. luke
it's her album, and not anyone elses
most people get to pick the tracklist, with guidance from a label, not other way around.
why are you trying so hard to be edgy by slamming ur own fave, ur embarrassing

K$ may be my fave but that doesn't mean I have to agree with HER FANS and think that she'll be better off without Luke
Being a pop star is her job and not everybody is happy at their job 100% of the time anyway

No one's slamming her, we just see the problems with this. It's an ONLINE PETITION. Get real. It's cute and all, but the only effects this can have on her or her standing at RCA or Kemosabe are negative.

These Ke$ha fans can't take it out on Dr. Luke. If it wasn't for him, there'd be no Ke$ha. Don't forget he was also responsible for the Animal era which had her most notable hits.
It's not Dr. Luke's fault that her fans aren't buying her album. If only they'd put this much effort in when she was actually releasing Warrior.
