And how is google music "Pandora"? I'm talking design/aesthetic wise? not the streaming service.
at you bringing an ancient device to compare when we're talking about Smartphone OS. a mess once again.
Honestly, even the animation on iOS 7 is the same as Android.

Firstly, Safari's multitasking was openly the the inspiration for Palm OS who were the first to do Multitasking in the same way for an OS.
Secondly, I agree the new Safari is a copy of Chrome. But Safari on the Mac was the first to use live pictures for Top Sites back in 2007, something Chrome followed with. Ultimately even.
Google Music is the same as iTunes with a different looking UI and some features similar to Spotify or Pandora. Ultimately it's a mixture of them all.
Lastly, who cares if it's ancient? Do we discredit Windows XP because it's ancient too?
A lot of the features the (such as the Applications and the way the device worked) are crucial to how devices look now. I mean look at the home screen:
The device operated in how most tablets, phones and computers are used today. Bare in mind this was what most people had as a desktop PC when the Newton launched.
Apple can do whatever it damn well pleases and have software look like what it damn well wants.
It
ultimately is the original, and had created the whole functionality of the "smartphones" of today rather than just a couple of useful features.
Remember where we were heading before Apple tried it again with mobile devices?
Apple didn't invent the smartphone, but they sure as hell made it the best kind.
