But "Queen Britney" is okay, even though it could be a mangling of "Queen Elizabeth" or "Queen Latifah".

It isn't but is saying a positive/neutral nickname really harmful? Like in July I got warned for saying "Blonderiah" referencing her with Blonde hair in a pic. What enforcement did that serve giving me a WP for noticing her blonde hair? Was that suppose to teach me not to acknowledge her blonde hair era?

And then again if you can't live through people praising their faves, then ATRL isn't the place for you.

Positive/Neutral Nicknames getting WP's just seems like something Mods make a rule because it annoyed them, not because it did any actual harm. ABUSE of POWER.

Why is the nickname rule so nitpicky flamebait names should be the only ones warned. Picking what is acceptable or not is going to cause further problems. Allow them, or ban them all together.

I see where Oprah is coming from. It's not necessarily mangling if her name is Lorde already. '(THE) Lorde' isn't really against the rules of Lord is already part of her name. It's like "The Britney" in a sense, or just replacing Britney with any other girl's name. If The Lord is allowed, The Lorde definitely should be, and that Lana name too.

Yes "Lorde" is a homophone for the word "lord". Not specifically "Jesus Christ".

It's childish and it's about the appearance of the site. If we allowed nicknames, people much everyone would never use their fave's actual name.

We have the rule plain and simple because nicknames got out of control on the site.
