Lorde, the 16-year-old North Shore singer hitting it big in the US with her smash single Royals, confirmed to TV3 show 3rd Degree tonight that she turned down Perry's offer because it didn't feel right.

"I have a pretty good gut instinct for stuff and if it feels right I'll do it," Lorde told journalist Samantha Hayes. "I think she's really talented."

Yes, people don't think the same as I do, because they're ****ing stupid and desperately want to interpret the smallest of comments as being a "drag" when really Lorde is just a 16 year old human being who's allowed to not be completely enamored with every artist that ATRL likes. She's expressed mostly positive things about the artists that people say she "shades." She's allowed to find Lana's songwriting problematic, she's allowed to make sure her music differentiates her from Taylor Swift, and she's allowed to NOT tour with Katy Perry. She has never expressed hatred or even disliking of any of these artists.

People are not meant to agree with you. By the context of your posts, you're thinking that this girl gives people a REASON to find any small reason to dislike her.
