This Fiona Applewine person is still an unwritten page for me. When her name pops up I don't have an image in my head, nor do I associate her with anything musically noteworthy. Her sheer existence remains an mysterium, except for very little men who survived the stone age and Mandonna.

She's abusing her range I think. She whistles a lot, and whistling is notorious for ****ing up vocal cords.
I don't know the severity of the situation, but I'm going to assume all she needs to do is rest her vocal cords and take some medicinal liquids, but definitely NOT try to release another album in Feb. That's entirely too stressful and could cause her to develop nodules on her vocal cords which need to be removed surgically.
She doesn't whistles a lot, she tries to whistle, but her head voice don't go that high most of the times. That takes enormous straining. I wonder how much time she will need to heal.
She does whistle sometimes, which surprised me, I have to confess. In this video she whistles at 0:24, 0:30, 0:38 n 0:49, the last one is really good.
Kate Bush makes the most scabrous type of music to get into. More unyielding and experimental than Bjork was when I first began exploring her (flawless) discography. I just can't access her horrid music.
