Based on what you see on Twitter, YouTube comments, and on country websites, the country fanbase has already turned against her. I think if she followed up her pop singles with a more country-leaning song it still wouldn't do exceptionally well on country radio because they already dismiss her as being a pop girl now. It's frustrating but true.

As in, what I meant was that if you just stick to country they'd be sure to constantly play your songs. So yes, if she pisses off the country crowd too much, she would lose that source of longevity she has.
I think the only way she could've got them back was releasing another country single right after BA peaked. I know HDC was being released then, but I don't think that alone can help her much. But then having 2 singles on country radio might cause overexposure for her, so I really don't know.

Don't forget to appreciate The Lord's 9/11 hymn, Didn't They, today.

Ah, yeah, I think that's true too, but I think it's too late for her on that front. HDC did well but that's because she was just a featured artist on it. I don't think she'll have her own country radio #1 in the future now that the base has turned.
BA is one of her best songs ever and didn't even peak as high as it should have Even then, people were already annoyed at WANEGBT and it being #1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart made it even worse for country fans who thought the song didn't belong on the chart at all.
Although I want her to be big on country radio/charts, I think her team knows now that she is more welcome on pop radio now, meaning the next album will def be pop-leaning.

The fans may have turned but the industry hasn't. The nominations, invites.. She's the only thing keeping the genre relevant to outsiders. Other than maybe Blake

Yeah but she has to keep her country fanbase though, cos pop isn't gonna be there for her all the time. But then again Taylor has defied quite a number of barriers so we'll just see how it goes. As long as she keeps serving quality music I'm fine.

I just listened to Sweeter Than Fiction !! those lyrics
I’ll be one of the many saying,
Look at you now, look at you now, now
I’ll be one of the many saying,
Look at you now, look at you now, now
I’ll be one of the many saying you’ve made us proud, you’ve made us proud.
Taylor sis what are you thinking about ? people aint here for those light & cheap lines, the only decent one is "the rest is history"
She should carry on with songs like IKYWT, The Last Time...more mature and deeper !

I actually like those lines. They are simple, yes, but the moment I heard them, they really made me sort of happy. They're uplifting, you know. Anyway, this song is for a romantic comedy. It's not really deep and is definitely better than Wrecking Ball.
