The lyrics aren't bad though, the only one that confuses me is the lover's side thing? But yeah, they're a bit atypical. But honestly, at this point, I'm here for Gaga taking risks and releasing the best song, not the most radio friendly. All of her biggest singles were the riskiest ones, or the ones most different from her regular sound. TEOG, Y&I, Bad Romance, Poker Face.. they show evolution. People don't want generic Gaga, they want to genuinely like her music. Even when it's weird, because that's what people love most about Gaga, right? When she's eccentric, she's interesting. Born This Way just went too far with the weird.

I don't know. I agreed ARTPOP lyrics are kinda out there, but that's what people expect from Gaga. I could still see it doing potentially week, the chorus isn't very bad. I think people would understand the chorus, I think it's pretty obvious and I do think most people view Gaga as just another basic popstar.

I love ARTPOP primarily because the meaning is made up by the listener. Which is evident in the song "ARTPOP". When she sings "My ARTPOP could mean anything/ Could try to sell you out or I, could show you all the reasons why my ARTPOP could mean anything..." She's basically saying that there is no real meaning to Artpop it's what you think it means. That's why it "could mean anything".
