How many albums has Bruno sold? Though I do gotta give props to Bruno for putting old school / retro sounds in his music and managing to see success with it. Others, like Miguel, are less unfortunate.

If you ask anyone who doesn't follow pop music, they would be shocked to learn that Slave 4 U, Oops I Did It Again, and even Crazy were never #1s on Billboard because to most average people, they were some of the defining pop songs of their times.

Gorilla was just released as a single. It doesn't even have a video.

Please. I'm the same age as Britney and have followed her career since the start. I'm from the UK, though and Britney had two no.1 singles with In The Zone, after none with Britney, so I don't consider that to be an era when people were over her. She also won UK FHM's 100 sexiest woman poll after placing top 5 for years (used to be a pretty big deal in the UK). In The Zone was a successful era for her there. It was after that that things went downhill.

And that's my point. Gaga has built a whole career out of shock antics where her kissing Madonna, driving with a baby in her lap, etc simply wouldn't be shocking because it's GAGA we're talking about.
Britney, however, was that sweet girl with the pigtails. She was able to get attention for doing dumb stuff like swearing, being late to a movie premiere etc. This is stuff that happens on the daily for Rihanna, Gaga, etc and no one bats an eyelash
.

I'm sorry, are you actually comparing child endangerment with stirring up controversy at the VMAs? I agree that the Madonna kiss, striptease, etc. were only shocking moments because it was Brit but driving with your baby on your lap would make headlines whoever did it because it is ****ing crazy and Britney straight up risked her kid's life.

I know right? Crazy and Slave 4 U are arguably her biggest songs. Especially Slave 4 U. I remember the buzz that it stirred, it was so crazy. I also remember girls wearing underwears over their pants after that video.

I want a different disney girl.
Selena Gomez''s music is actually good. So is Hilary Duff's.
Miley is a train wreck.

Let the popstars dominate for a while. Plenty of rockbands have done it already in a row. last decade. Even if straights don't stan for the girls, I'm sure they're curious enough for the spectacle to tune in anyway. We saw that with Madonna, and Beyoncé. When a big current popstar performs, it's an actual event in itself. When a band performs, it's just a performance to fill up time.

Britney only has 3 memorable pop tracks too. Hit Me, Oops and Toxic (being generous here). Shakira has also 3. Whenever, Wherever, Hips don't lie and waka waka. Lord, Britney stans are so delusional (not that TikiMiss is an actual Britney stan since he joined the site as an insider from Gaga's team supposedly and suddenly turned into a Britbot overnight).
Oh, and Ainsworth, stop polluting my wall! Thank you!

ITZ era was really successful in the UK, yes. I think her GH: My Prerogative album is her best selling album in the UK (or second best).

In the U.S., the general population was "over" Britney after "Britney" in the same way that they were turned off by Gaga with "BTW." It became publicly acceptable and even popular to make fun of her and embarrassing to say they enjoyed her music.
People still bought it in secret though I remember seeing other b!tches (me included) sneaking the ITZ CD beneath a pile of other albums and pretending "Hey, what's this doing here? Oh well, may as well buy it." at the checkout line at Best Buy
Gaga tattooed and shaved her head in public a year ago and it got nary a peep or any chatter. That's when you know that almost antics probably won't work at this point.

Tambourine man by Bob dyla is kind of the best song of all time along with paparazzi, poker face, halo, party in the USA and why don't you love me. Will it look like I have superior taste if I include Bob Dylan in my sig?

What's so delusional? You're forgetting about Lucky, Stronger, Crazy, Slave 4 U, Overprotected, Not A Girl, Boys... all memorable singles and videos.
Some of y'all just like to defame Britney because her career is just that amazing. And don't even call me delusional, it's the sole truth.
