Am I like the only one who doesn't mind her doing country?
I'm Texan, so I don't mind either
Maybe RCA will do what they did with Justin Timberlake? Release an album in two parts?
I don't have a problem with Kelly branching out and trying different stuff. I'm a music nerd and I think back to the days in music where it really was just about the music. Artists would have 20+ albums and sing whatever genres they felt like singing. Someone like Linda Ronstadt; she sang everything from pop, rock, country, jazz, and even Spanish.
I'd love for Kelly to be one of those artists that can say she released 20+ albums and did everything she wanted during her career.
Like Kelly has mentioned before, when you're born Texan you have to like football (Cowboys), beer, and country music. And I'm not even from the redneck part of Texas Kelly's from hahaha

Avril was a bigger superstar than Kelly at her peak. If her studio album release doesn't deserve a thread, then Kelly DEFINITELY doesn't deserve a thread for WIR. Breakaway era doesn't match up to Avril's biggest eras.
To compare a thread for a holiday album to a studio album. Like the utter retardation.
If you're going to make fun of Avril decline, then Kelly DEFINITELY doesn't deserve any threads. Breakaway era doesn't match up to Avril's biggest eras.

Statistically, Avril has had THREE multiplatinum eras, two of which went double digit platinum. Her debut selling over 17 million, the second selling over 10 million and her third selling over 6. Kelly has Breakaway at 12 million. That's it.
Not my opinion but facts. IFPI, Mediatraffic, Chart News and Billboard will also tell you the same.
After listening to this interview again and hearing her talk about country at last night's show, sounds like she's releasing a country album next year. When she introduced TIU last night she said it was the first single off of it. hmmm
Before anyone has a meltdown... in that same interview, she said she's still doing pop
Girl is coming for those country awards I'd love a double disc for the next album
I was just about to throw my phone against the wall, but then finished reading. That was close

I measure an eras success based on more than one criteria, such as: tour receipts, single sales, critical acclaim, awards, etc.

Are we really going to bring up Kelly's disasterous box office gross?
Avril has also sold more records (album and single sales) total.
She's had plenty of critical acclaim and is tied with Kelly for average Metacritic score.
The only advantage Kelly has is having more Grammys but then again, Kelly has had zero success in the movie/music industry whereas Avril blossomed.

This is all coming from someone who HATE Avril.
Sis you need to provide receipts or no one will believe you...and I said etc.
