That's exactly the problem! The sound doesn't exactly work for today; it's just not current.
As far as "Sex Dreams" goes, that song probably won't do her anymore favors than "Applause" has. The ballad would fit in with radio today, though. and would ultimately have more hit potential, I think.
, but I think she just put it in for the live version) to make it more relatable. Imagine her performing it at some high-profile show completely stripped down and acoustic. It would make wonders for her. I'd be here for it as a single eventually.
