Agreed. I love that Gaga and Beyonce aren't on that gotta have a #1 ********. If it comes then good I'll applaud. If it doesn't then good I'll applaud. It's about the music and I for one, would rather hear "Applause" than "Roar" any day of the week. Not shading Katy, just speaking my mind.
She's not over, she's just declined a bit. That's it. People just like to do the most because she's Lady Gaga/her fans tend to overestimate her and underestimate other artists.

It's because she wants people to know about her music, that's why she makes it. She doesn't care about the charts, she wants her music known (and it is)

Well, she's been hypocritical since day one, just like every other pop star. Her "art pop" could mean anything or it could mean nothing at all and we won't know any different. I can't speak for the rest of society, but I personally don't get kicks out of watching people fail when I feel they are doing good work. GaGa works extremely hard and I admire her for that, but it all starts with the material, and her songwriting is subpar to downright piss-poor at times. When she gives us amazing songs like "Poker Face," "Paparazzi," "Dance in the Dark," or "The Edge of Glory" I'm totally in her corner.

EVERYONE in the music industry wants to be #1, and they all know they would look pathetic if they say: "Oh, I want my song to be #1, I'm here for that! Why my song is not succeeding!!?? I've worked so hard for that!!".
It's like when they get fat they say "I'm proud of my body!!" but then they all kill themselves at the gym and spend their coins on PT.
Personally, for me, music comes first, charts come second.
The artist can be really proud of his work but he would LOVE to see his music sell.
So, at the end of the day, charts count for them, singers like GaGa and Bey just want to keep it classy and cool...So I don't buy it when they say: "This is not about being #1..." 'cause I know, WE all know
