I really don't get album release dates. The tracking week in the US is Monday - Sunday, so why do they release it on a Tuesday? Same with the UK, tracking week Sunday - Saturday, release it on a Monday?
Singles in the uk are sundays and albums mondays They are not charted til the update on a wednesday followed by official charts on the sunday after release
I think the Icona Pop collab is going to be on this as well. Especially seeing as they're performing on the same day as Katy at the iTunes Festival. They're Swedish aren't they? Katy was in Stockholm recording some of the album wasn't she?
I usually only buy albums on iTunes but that was because I didn't live near a store that sold CDs. Now that I'm going to college in a big city I feel like Katy would be the perfect first buy (on my own).
But I feel bad because I ain't helping with those pre-orders
Only the first week sales matter, so it doesn't even matter! Pre-orders are very trivial.
