I got an TEOG vibe from IOWBWY too, but it's so damn cheesy and the fact that she recalls "born this way" on the lyrics makes the song sound fanmade. Even "Princess Die" is a stronger ballad.
I don't think it'll be as bad/noticeable on the album. Besides GP loves cheesy lyrics. I mean sit down and read Roar's lyrics those are metaphors people were writing when they were 10. I liked Princess Die especially lyrically but I think it would get old really quick. I could see this being a Zedd produced, electropop power ballad kinda like a fusion of Clarity and TEoG. Even though its about her fans I could easily see the GP thinking its a love song even if it has that BTW 80's cheese to it.
I wish she didn't say "ARTPOP" after "We could, we could belong together". Really annoying. Otherwise, the song has grown on me 100% the bridge is one of her best ever.
Oh please. I buy her albums, singles, and go to her tours. That is more than grateful enough.
Love knows no numbers. Seriously if you can't respect the artistry and meaning to these songs then I'm afraid you're being here for the sales is less than gratefulness
