My personal thoughts on the setlist! Don't mind me lol:

What I caught Lady Gaga doing at the iTunes festival was the theatre technique called the verfremdungseffekt, blatantly changing in front of the audience to the next look without ruining the integrity of the show. And now my thoughts on some songs thus far:

MANiCURE - Something sounds like it could be a British rock song in the 70’s, and be performed by The Runaways. Upbeat and fun.

Jewels and Drugs - It was so random to feature T.I., Twista, and Too $hort. My least favorite so far, but I think I’ll enjoy the trap beat.

Swine - She’s unraveling something very dark and morbid in her history. Don’t know what to think of this yet.

Sex Dreams - Heavily 80’s, reminiscing of Vanity 6’s talky dialogues in songs, and a bit of Prince. Also the melody of Modern Talking’s You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul. Dark and sexually flirtatious. Definitely one of the tracks where she’s moving forward like Heavy Metal Lover with a retro twist.

ARTPOP - I was most excited to listen to this the most. It’s a mix of Yoko Ono, David Bowie, Depeche Mode, and Michael Jackson’s ‘hee-hees’. She looked like a Venus hippie while performing. My favorite from the setlist.


Can't effing wait to hear the official versions.
And add to the list of Gaga lies: she'd announce the Paparazzi/Telephone sequel!

"ARTPOP" sounded very Kylie, I loved it!
Swine was really unexpected, it's so catchy and electronic, amazing
Sex Dreams sounds like it could be a huge hit, it's dirty and catchy
Manicure surprised me, I didn't expect much but it sounds like a good album track
I Wanna Be With You was cute, can't really tell much but lyrically it's beautiful
Aura was great, I was hoping it might be a little different to the leak but still amazing
Jewels and Drugs I wasn't digging at all at first but once it started to get edgier I liked it, it's a grower not an instant love
