Exactly. I mean, look at the Britney era itself, for a really good example - her singles did poorly because she was blacklisted from radio, and yet the album still sold very well and she continued as the biggest star of her times.

#1 hits are not everything, and they don't even mean that much in the end.

Yes. Y&I was a poor single choice. Marry The Night was good, but the video killed it.

And Gaga should keep doing what she is doing now. The GP is going to get sick of artists like Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, etc soon. You have to reinvent yourself. All these artists who play it safe disappear after a while, unless they're ultra talented. But lets not go there...
