I think they ment every video by Katy and Rihanna boosts sales, where as We Can't Stop is Miley's only one really, just like Sexy And I Know It video had impact on it, and same with F**kin' Perfect, and Rack City, etc...
We Can't Stop has been in the Top 10 for over two months, and spent the last 10 weeks in the Top 3 on the Bilboard Hot 100. Sold over 2 million copies and still selling 100k+ a week. While Wrecking Ball, which was released on a Sunday, unannounced, sold 90k in one day and is still Top 10 with no promo, no video, no airplay, and no clear indication if its the second single or just a promo single. She's doing fine thanks.

I'm sure Miley knows all about long-term success when her career is going on 7 years now and is still stable. WCS hasn't left the top 10 for 2+ months and WB has no video, no airplay and no live performances yet it's still holding its own. Worry about Lana or something.
I think Katy and maybe Rihanna are the only artist in this generation whereby the video proves to have a signifcance in sales. I remember when we found love just owned the remainder of 2011. In 2010 Katy did this with CG, TD, Firework and E.T(ft. Kanye).

WCS has been in the top days for weeks, it's had a good chart-run and the other is a song that's still afloat for her name alone because it doesn't have a video nor promo to back it up

Where Have You Been, Diamonds and Stay got pretty good video effects, too.. But of course, in the case of Rihanna, WFL's effect was incredible and the biggest one
