E=MC˛ has a million WBT-knockoffs, I'm That Chick (which has a lot of Pop, Disco in it), Side Effects etc. It may have a "ghetto feel" but I never ever thought of it as the most Urban/HipHop one by her.

Well yes compared to the rest of the album, those songs are the pop standouts. Songs like Migrate, Side Effects, OOC, Love Story. Those were all Hip-Hop oriented. Of course ballads are always lighter sounding, but there are different types of ballads. like AC ballads, which is mostly what she did in the early 90's ,then you have more urban/Hip--Hop oriented ones like THNX 4 Nothin, Last Kiss etc. The style of the production usually gives it away.
This album was great mix overall though. I guess it isn't like super Urban as a initially stated, but as a whole cohesively it feels like her most hip-hop oriented album.
I'm that Chick is Disco/Soul. It samples Michael's "Off The Wall",but yeah it definitely falls into the Pop category. The thing is about E=MC2,is when it was released Urban music was starting to slow, and EMD was starting to take over (it's ruling now

) So at the time her album wasn't really the definition of "Pop" as in popular.
People like Gaga were taking off and Jason Derulo were all over the radio,Florida at this point had become a sellout to rap crowd, and then did "right round" ft Ke$ha.( It's really amazing to see an era of music change so quickly)
I'm kinda with Mariah in the view of techno and dance music. It' s becoming stale.

We need to bring REAL music back(
that can be subjective, but you guys get it)
