You saved yourself with the beginning qualifier. 
I agree that Beyoncé and Gaga are talented and have had some great moments in music, but your theory doesn't make up for people who left their stanbases. I wouldn't say I hate either girl and I do continue to support both, but there's a clear reason why I don't stan for either.
You're also not helping the "Their stanbases are so delusional that it makes it hard to support them" case.

They hate Beyoncé because they just can't take her perfection. They settle for mediocrity and mad their favs will never in their life sound/look/perform like she can. Her life ***** on everyone else's. Ive only been active here for about two days, (I've lurked for months) but I don't think ATRL as a whole hates gaga. Some stans of certain stanbases do because well, their fav sucks compared to her. I think most people on here just despise anyone with real talent.

This! Beyonce doesn't even have a major selling album, doesn't write her music. And Gaga hasn't been big since 2010 and her stans still call her the biggest popstar in the world. I made a thread about that last night and unfortunately it got closed.

But I wasn't even talking about that tho lol. That's not the point. Gaga gets hate because of the many delusional members she has here on ATRL, and they attack pretty much every fanbase.  Y'all seriously were not expecting this when Applause underperformed? The lack of grasp of reality.

Yet Bey's last album sold more than most of the gerls ATRL stans for. As for Gaga, Born This Way outsold nearly everyone in 2011. Not to mention Gaga is the most powerful artist on Forbes 2013. Nice try though.

Debuting at #6 on the Hot 100 isn't 'underperforming' but like I said, the hatred of Gaga on here was well before "Applause" ever came out. I may have only been back for a few days, but I've been lurking.
