Stans dislike artists who have one big characteristic their fave lacks because no amount of word twisting, number crunching, or ugly pictures can make up for it.
It's the same way in real life. Where people generally dislike a certain person for a quality that person possesses that they themselves lack and would love to have. |

This makes honestly ZERO sense. 
Every fanbase has delusional people. People can't state that other fanbase is delusional because they stan for certain pop girl? If we stan for Britney it means we're delusional because of one of her fansites has a large number of delusional members?

Wat. 
I absolutely despise Rih's stans, but that doesn't deter me from bopping to her lite hits.
On the flip side, I can't stand Gaga's newer music (BTW on), but her fans are pretty damn awesome.
Fans should be the last thing you look at when speaking of liking/disliking an artist.

I dislike Gaga because she appears to be very pretentious, I don't like her voice, I don't get her art. I do respect her though for working hard to be where she is.
I love Bey because she is absolutely amazing in every single way. It's also amazing how much I can relate with her.

The sheer fact that some posters in this thread are saying "Their fanbases" shows how truly ignorant so many are on this site. If a person who likes the artist, who has no other connection with that artist other than merely being a fan of them, makes you hate that artist. Then you are as weak and insecure as you claim others to be. The whole lot of you.
Gaga and Beyonce are arguably the most talented pop stars, and many posters on here stan for females with significantly less talent, plain and simple.

So we're not allowed to judge Britney based on the delusional fans on Exhale, but y'all are allowed to judge Gaga based off of delusional fans from ATRL? The logic.

It doesn't, but some people think that it does. At the end of the day, it is entertaining, to some degree to "drag" other artists. Though some of the drags are completely repulsive and unnecessary, hence the shutting down of SYG.
The real concern is when people take things too seriously, i.e being upset when threads about your fave being "hated" on a internet music forum are created. People need to simply get over it and move on.

Couldn't have said it better.
And I can't at Britney and Rihanna stans saying "because of their stans". I mean, have you seen your own fanbases? If I was going to dislike the artist because of the fanbase I wouldn't like ANYONE.
