I'm not dragging "CG"'s debut; I'm simply saying that if Gaga can be dragged for debuting with nearly 450K with "BTW" but only 218K with "Applause", then Katy can be dragged for starting with 294K and then 84K with her next single only 2 months later.
Also, "TD" did not debut following its Friday release, just as "CG" didn't. "TD" debuted at #20 with 84K after a full week of sales.

Ariana only sold 1K more than Gaga, if not less than that when you take into consideration the rounding, and she had more exposure seeing as she had the #1 song on iTunes for most of its first week.
