I can't at monsters are claiming that Paparazzi performance is iconic. I can't even remember that performance and I'm on ATRL. Do you really think GP remembers that?

It's still being used for commercials years later (last year AND this year), it got almost as much next-day press as the Britney/Madonna kiss, it's an undeniable fact that the Paparazzi performance was one of the most iconic moments, not only in VMA history, but in the history of television
All Rihanna will be remembered for is being the only person to swim all the way to the US from Barbados without removing the massive blunt from her mouth.
The bottom line is that Lobotomy Spears hasn't performed at the VMAs since her disastrous 2009 performance ended her career so there's no way she's the "Queen of the VMAs"

The delusion in this post. I don't know what planet you're living on, but the next day the Kanye/Taylor drama was EVERYWHERE the media and GP paid Paparazzi performance DUST - no one but monsters knew about it. And DEATH and it being the most iconic moments of television history LMAO Lady Gaguilera's dying career must really doing one in on you.
Rolling Stones: The 24 Wildest Moments in VMA History
23. Britney Dances with a Snake, 2001
12. Damn, Britney! Where'd Your Clothes Go?,2000
7. Britney Blows Comeback, 2007
3. Gaga Raids the Butcher Shop, 2010
2. Madonna, Britney Kiss, World Stops, 2003
Where's Paparaazi the so called 'one of the most iconic performance of television history' I mean that performance was nothing but shock value so if it can't be found in the 'wildest' list, then it will NO WAY be found on iconic lists.
Overall, its Madonna.
- she has won the most awards including MTV Video Vanguard award
-has many iconic performances like for example Vogue, Like a Virgin, Express Yourself, Hollywood
-way too many iconic moments

And with Britney although attention was surely a goal for what she did, it felt a bit more natural to her. Maybe it's my generation but I can't remember any iconic VMA performances prior to Britney. Does anyone know of any? Madonna's vogue comes to mind, but that's about it.
Just from the top of my head:
Madonna - Like a Virgin, MJ Medley, Puff Daddy - Ill Be Missing You, Nirvana - Lithium, Hole - Violet,
Oasis - Champagne Supernova and many many more.
VMAs were much more spontaneous, scandalous and respected before 00s. Now everything is just bland and staged imo.
The one saying that the Kiss between 2 Princesses of Pop and The Queen of Pop gets dated is clearly delusional.
Every-single-pop gurls tried to recreate that moment in the pop scene but they're not as iconic as the 2003 one so let's not start. Katy Perry - I Kissed A Girl, Rihanna and Britney Spears - S&M performance, Lady GaGa's Alter Ego attempted to kiss Britney Spears last year. Urgh. Saying that meat dress has more impact than the 2003 kiss just proves you have no idea about the pop culture AT ALL.
And who gives a **** about lip-sync?
Come here, PERCH on your sit, prepare your boring soul and get slayed.
But that is Britney's ONLY iconic moment from the VMAs!
Her 2007 performance is infamous, not iconic
Her first 2 VMA performances are recognizable because she was the world's biggest sex symbol at the time but the performances weren't anything special on their own

the fact that you said "2009 performance" shows that you have no idea what the **** you're talking about
