What? ;> Have you just seen my post about suicide?
Edit: If any of you guys have 6 minutes to waste on listening to a song in my language, play this one. You won't understand a word (maybe except Nerevanin) but it's kind of pop/rock music I'd love Kelly to record. It was recorded in 80's but is still relevant for me. It's really good song. If I get enough people asking me to translate the lyrics, I'll try.
Yeah, I feel bored while watching AG video. There's nothing really special. The scene you talk about would bump views and "kinda" promote the song. Imagine the headlines "Kelly Clarkson comits suicide"
Can i ask y'all some questions about the lyrics of CMB?
Shadow boxing the other half
Does this part mean that she used to feel uneasy when she was with her boyfriend?
This is more about an internal battle. She is fighting with herself and trying to find the balance between voicing her concerns while not going against the higher ups cuz she was a new artist in the beginning.
Letting it go
Does this part mean that she used to waste most of her time?
It means she is finally standing up for herself and that she won't just lay there and mindlessly do what the executives tell her to do.
Keeping faith karma comes around
Does this part mean that she will keep the faith that karma comes around? Or she's just trying to say she should keep faith because karma will come around?
"shadow boxing" is basically like an exercise, you are boxing (punching) but there is no object, it's imaginary.. So you are basically punching the air, you don't hit anything...
So when she says "shadow boxing the other half" she basically means she's throwing imaginary punches (maybe in her head) towards the men in her life. It's a metaphor, she's basically saying she spent her whole life fighting with men in her life...
--
Letting it go is pretty straight forward... She says she's spent most of her life catching her breath then letting it go again... When you catch your breath it's usually a good thing like "Oh he was so beautiful he took my breath away, I had to catch my breath" but then she lets it go again, meaning she gets let down or has to let go of the man..
--
Keeping faith karma comes around - she is basically saying she still has hope that all her good actions and her being good in life will come back around and she will get good things in return, she has hope..
Hope that helped CMB is actually very beautifully written, I love all the metaphors.
I always understood that with "Shadow boxing the other half" she was referring to her other half, like the private, non famous half of her life and struggled to just let go and let herself be the person she wants to be.
