So basically if something is 'generic' it is unacceptable? There are only so many ways to show excitement and there's nothing wrong with that.
It's all opinions. Starships is far form generic to me, I don't get up and dance when I hear a 'pop' song from anyone else but when Starships is one of my all-time favorites. No need to drag something you don't like but others do.
