They have a contract with SM Entertainment to release an English album and they are signed to Interscope. They are working on it right now....

In fact...they were just recently in the studio with Sean Garrett.

They didn't do that much promo. Everyone knows you need radio airplay as well as promotion to kick it off. But nice try.

Performances on two high rated shows + rent a rapper remix a la Katy Perry.
The Wonder Girls had worse promo and Radio Disney airplay, yet they managed to chart on the Hot 100.

The Japanese market and American market aren't that alike.

The fact of the matter is one group has an English flop EP under their belt, and it isn't 2NE1.

SNSD have more experience of breaking foreign markets. Let's not forget that. I'd be more concerned that Will.i.am will be heavily involved with 2NE1. Natalia and Cheryl didn't exactly work out in the States.
