I wouldn't say Applause isn't smashing. 5m updates ain't that bad. And we think CMB was a hit and it nevergot update bigger than 2m. Possibly a radio deal but there is much hype around. It will end up like MLWSWY I think.

True. I think it's just a case of overhype. Not that the early leak even help Gaga out.

Personally preferred CMB being the sleeper hit it was.

It won't break Kelly record if you mean that biggest jump. Applause is to debut much higher than 97 :P top 50 maybe. I know it's Kelly base but I hate the fact that Katy's roar is beating Applause so cruel.

Yes. It's been four years now and it'll be almost impossible to break. I'm actually here for Kelly breaking her own record again and jump from #100 to #1. Then she would hold an eternal record and her name would be preserved for all generations to come

If I remember something; it takes about 628,000 digital sales for something to debut at Number 1; which is impossible without streams these days. Gaga is more likely debut higher than MLWSWY though; lucky for that.

And with MLWSWY at 97, selling 280k to jump to number one in its second week, I doubt Kelly would get those numbers again. Especially since the numbers have changed since 2009 and with streams being one-third important now too.
