faux concern?  I spend a good few hours a week volunteering at homeless shelters in the most crack-riddled neighborhoods I've heard every complaint from "the government is keeping us down" to "the white man is making me be this way" and I've heard every insult necessary to my white skin color hurled in my direction I'm just a little tired of the excuses. The government isn't making these people poor or making them addicted to crack. Life is full of choices. Being born in the ghettos of Harlem or Brooklyn isn't a walk in the park, but it sure beats walking miles to get a bucket of fresh water in the African Sahara or in rural parts of India. So much of life is choice and how optimistic you are about the World. If you are too busy looking for racism, you may just miss the opportunity around the corner.

All I know is that these little girls came home with a pay check which is more than most kids their age can say. So obviously they're doing something right and K-Mart is helping them pursue their dreams.

And the numbers you used for the Holocaust are rather conservative. Keep in mind that slavery is a broad term and that the practice was accepted for hundreds of years. Blacks weren't the only group of people who were subject to slavery in the history of the world.
The Holocaust was a different scenario. Hitler called for a genocide of a variety of people, including Jews, gays, people with disabilities, etc. It happened in a time-frame that is shorter than a decade. The fact that Hitler and his followers were able to exterminate 10 million+ people in such a short amount of time is telling.

Chile I don't care what you do outside of this thread as it doesn't pertain to this entire situation. And stop with the head smacks, stop showing faux concern on this topic in this thread. Because if you really cared instead of making faces like the points we made throughout this thread are crazy you would have actually read and comprehend, why the poster brought slavery into this. The bolded is easier to say when your white and truth be told you don't think I do that, i'm not looking for racism. Or atleast open the discussion to talk about why blacks still in their words complain about issues that still affect us today.
