I feel that "Say Nothing" killed Example's climb in the music industry. He was getting popular with "Playing In The Shadows" and then that horrible single... after that, the 4th album flopped.
But I can't say that "Say Nothing" killed Example's career yet because we need to wait for his 5th album first. If this new album flops, then we can call "Say Nothing" a career killer song

That's true unfortunately. Bye Bye killed the era and damaged her career. She tried to repair it with MOAIA, but after Obsessed that era became a mess as well. Then she tried with MCIIY, but it didn't help much. And let's not talk about the horrendous Triumphant #Beautiful seemed to get her career back on track, but then she pushed back the album

That's not true because "I Am Me" still debuted at #1 after that lip-sync incident, and all the singles were moderate hits. "Outta My Head" is her biggest flop to date (and the GP doesn't like that song too much, it's her most disliked music video on Youtube); obviously it ended her career (even if it's one of her memorable songs for you) =/

You seem to think an every artists first flop leading down to their path of flopdom is a single that killed their career.

False. Love On Top was a #1 hit on Urban radio. Party and Dance For You were top 5 hits. Countown was a top 20(?) hit.

Let's say her career has ended at Pop radio. That's also false because as soon as she releases a radio-friendly single, they will eat it alive.
